Dribble, dribble, sploosh!
Grab your boots, your coat, and hat,
Jump in a puddle and go kersplat!
I love fresh, light rainfalls. They make me want to jump right into a puddle and SPLASH!
Oddly enough that was not always the case. As a child I hated the rain. Rain meant worms, horrible, wiggly worms. We lived in a new subdivision and when it rained, I remember hundreds of worms crawling out of the grass, sliming their way across the sidewalks. You couldn't move a foot without stepping on one. It was just that one house. When we moved the mass of worms was thankfully left behind!
The smell of worms still haunts me, but I no longer hate the rain. I actually love to walk the dogs in a light rain. There is something refreshing about fresh, spring rain washing away your worries.
I love my daughters bright Hunter Wellie boots! So playful and just meant to jump into a puddle with!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know your young family friend is safe in Japan. Though safe and sound for my family, many people in that region are suffering losses. This is a great catastrophe and I feel helpless in front of huge energy of nature.

Of course I was immediately taken with the hot-pink boots... The sidewalk takes on the appearance of a river with little eddies and ripples. The reflection is wonderful as you can actually see the underside of her boots! Great shot... I love the rain

ReplyDelete@Karen It was a complete shot in the dark lol literally. 6pm, loosing light, dark sky - it was pure luck, just got it! I pumped up the exposure to show the reflection best.
